Claude now embeds watermarks into generated text
Anthropic has introduced machine-readable marking for supported Claude models as part of its AI-generated content transparency commitments.
Unlike a visible logo or traditional file metadata, Claude's text watermark is embedded directly into generated text. Anthropic says the watermark can remain when text is copied and pasted and may survive some editing.
That makes manually identifying or processing the mark much less straightforward.
